2-0 Loss to Chiefs

seduzca chief

And because you’ve been going through pretty-girl withdrawl over the past few weeks, here’s a second version of the three stars for the last game:

All of a sudden, I’m an Oilers fan, or perhaps an Oilers-fan fan

I agree with the star selection 100%, but I think you should add a Missing Star Award for Santa.
This game was meant for him, he would have been banging away, making that rubber neck geek tap-out and that other Moron cry.
Good on Goats for stepping in & dealing with ‘the best hockey player on the planet’ in the corner. Hope your neck is OK.

Santa would like to thank the Radom Guy for the support and
of course Santa likes to think he knows when to let those Reindeer run! Hope to be back soon in some pain!

Thanks for the props, Random Guy… I wish I could have contributed more to the scoresheet and not the PIM column. That guy was jerk-hole, and I think someone on their bench told him to stop making fun of my skating because I was the “warm-up” goalie.

On the good note – the shift changes were excellent and Kuz played a helluva game.

Perhaps posting two Grinder Girls was too much for them to handle

…and if I might add a comment about last game, gentlemen. The first period we played really well (Bob, shut-up). Yes, they were out-passing us and had us hemmed in a couple of times, but we continueed to play our game, we played good positioning, we tried our best to send and receive passes…. And Then They Scored.
As soon as that pucked dropped after their goal, we were a different team. Our self-confidence is SO LOW that we fell apart; stopped the positional play, collapsed on our end, through the puck up the middle, starting taking goofy penalties.
It was as if we gave up, thinking that there was no way we could come back and win it.

Confidence boys! Let’s get it back. Lets stick to our game and believe. No one person is going to win it for us (especially when he is home sick) we have to help each other out and play as a team.

Grinders!

There goes that tumbleweed again

Let’s do it fellas! We need a win this Friday and we need to do it because we love hockey – not for stats or glory or a shot at the playoffs. We have to do it for ourselves. No bickering, no stupid penalties, just hockey – Grinders hockey!

We need to relax, play our positions and think of nothing but the chill of the rink, the feel of the puck on our stick, the satisfaction of making a crisp, clean pass. It’s time for us to change.

I agree Goats. Then we can celebrate with a tailgater after.
