Due to the untimely disappearance of our beloved beer cooler, an exhaustive search has been undertaken to find an adequate replacement. Until now, no reasonable candidates had been identified, however we believe a suitable replacement has now been found.

Please provide your feedback, as we need to ensure that we are making a responsible decision in this time of bereavement. We want to ensure that this is not simply a “rebound cooler”, but will be a worthwhile companion for the Grinders for seasons to come.

Site back up – might be some hiccups

The site is back up on the new and improved server, but there may be the odd hiccup as a result of the move (and the intense drinking I was doing while performing the move).

Beware – and let us know if you find anything missing. Glen, so far the first thing I noticed is that some of the images are missing from the Grinders Girls section, so I’m hoping you have backups. Hell, who am I kidding? I know you’ve got backups of those.

Oh, and let’s just not talk about last night’s game, mmkay?

[Update] – There are a few pictures in other spots on the site that are missing, notably some recent 3-stars pics. Let’s hope Glen is as meticulous with his image archival as he is with his beer consumption.

Real Hockey

After all the pickup hockey this summer, I’m a little concerned about some of the bad habits we may have picked up. Glen passing across the ice in our own zone, Gordie standing at center waiting for a pass, me turning away from every puck handler rather than risk a little bump…

But most of all I’m worried that our shifts are going to revert back to the 2 minute epic slow-motion journeys that we’ve worked so hard to eliminate. So let’s keep our wits about us, and when we’re tired GTFOTI. That’s “get the f$%& off the ice”, for those of you that didn’t figure it out.
