Just Call Me Mister

The results of the game on the 16th were so favoured by the Grinders that they even tried to keep the same line-up going into Saturday’s rematch. When Agent Bradley showed up he found his jersey “missing”. Bear still had it in his equipment bag. Bear wasn’t there. A coincidence? Or perhaps some Jungian collective consciousness happening?

“Sorry, Agent Bradley, we forgot your jersey, guess you can’t play.” Didn’t help though, he grabbed a spare number and joined the defensive core. Not like he made the score sheet in any way shape or form so his stats weren’t affected in this 2-1 win over EV Punishers.

Two things, however, were affected.

There is currently a board-level executive consultation and review of the status of Jason Clarke as a contestant of the turtle race. He is up on charges for “rallying points unbecoming of a turtle.” His assist to Shrek for the game winning goal was Jason’s second game-winning point in as many games.  Keep this up and he’ll lose the nick name “Nice Try.” That’ll be “MIS-TER Nice Try” from you.

The other significant event from that game is the club’s temporary loss of Shaun Ashworth. Shaun went down early in the game, falling awkwardly. He has suffered cracked ribs and will be out for a month.
