With competition as stiff as the Grinders, The Puckers needed that extra edge, and got it with Trounce. The Grinders hung on for the first two periods until The Puckers applied Trounce during the second intermission. That was the end of the Grinders, who although still kept up with the skating, passing and pressure, were eventually defeated with penalties allowing The Puckers to win with a 6-1 advantage. The game was a lot closer than it seemed, but the score sheet says “Trounce!”
